Alice, Lucy and the Dreaming Shipwreck
A downloadable game
I came to explore the wreck.
The words are purposes.
The words are maps.
I came to see the damage that was done
and the treasures that prevail.

Alice, Lucy, and the Dreaming Shipwreck
by Adam McConnaughey
a solo game with two characters
This is a game of exploration intended to evoke a sense of meditative awe. Over the course of play, you will influence the decisions of two friends scuba diving together into a ruin. Also, they are dreaming. This is not a horror game or an action game; no one’s life is ever in danger—they can always wake up. Their friendship, however...
A session of Alice, Lucy and the Dreaming Shipwreck takes 1-2 hours, and encompasses one dream diving session. Further sessions, should you choose to have them, may involve further dives into the same wreck. Again, though there may be tension, at no point during this game is any character truly in life-threatening danger. They may, however, be in danger of being changed by their experiences.
Alice, Lucy and the Dreaming Shipwreck is inspired by the games Murderous Ghosts, Lacuna, and Thousand Year Old Vampire. It uses the walking hexmap mechanic invented by Daniel Sell. If you can read it, you’re probably old enough to play it.
Alice, Lucy and the Dreaming Shipwreck was originally published as part of fundraising for Big Bad Con 2023.
